Eclipses are rare. They’re also mathematically predictable. Given that the earth,
moon and sun travel on prescribed trajectories at constant speeds, it was possible
even thousands of years ago to predict the moment and duration of the next eclipse.
This coincidental alignment of heavenly bodies is both magical and stunning.
In the work-at-home-mom world, none of us travel on a predictable trajectory, nor
do we move at a constant speed. We have children, on-line businesses,
homeschooling, out-of-home careers, families to spend time with… But once in a
while, we can get our hectic schedules to align and that’s what we’re calling a
‘Random Eclipse.’ They may occur once a month, once a quarter, once in a blue
moon. But these things are assured: they will be rare, short-lived and magical.
